What exactly is a Fresh 48 session?
A Fresh 48 session is a somewhat non-traditional form of a newborn session in which you have your new family documented within the first 48 hours of your childs birth to capture all the little firsts with your newborn.

Documentary photography captures your everyday moments, relationships, connections and emotions. You will never have this moment in your life again and the goal is to preserve these moments and memories for you and your children. You will treasure these pictures for years to come!
What makes Fresh 48 so special?
Fresh 48 is special because there is nothing more raw and emotional in life than having a baby. For a lot of moms and parents the first couple of hours and days after delivery can be a blur because of all the changes, actual labor and post delivery. A Fresh 48 session will help you remember how beautiful the two of you looked as brand new parents. It will help you remember how it felt to look at your baby and to detail how fresh and new they looked just coming into the world. There’s nothing like it.
When should I book my Fresh 48 Session?
Scheduling is suggested as soon as you know you want one. I suggest 3-4 months prior to your due date to ensure availability.
When and where will my session take place?
The session will take place at the place of delivery (hospital, home, or birthing center) They are scheduled within the first 48 hours after delivery during daylight hours.
Do I need permission from the hospital?
Please ask and ensure photographers are allowed. In almost all cases they are treated as just a visitor so it’s generally okay.
When should I contact you to come?
You can give me a heads up when you are going to the hospital and we can take it from there and see how you feel.
What would I need to bring with to the hospital?
Babies look great in just a diaper or a white onesie. Maybe a nice swaddle blanket. If you’d like basic makeup such as lipice, mascara and blush. You don’t need to wear makeup for the session but some moms like to freshen up a little.
How many images do I receive?
Fresh 48 sessions include about 50 images. These images are put into a gorgeous viewing galley that you can share with family and friends. You will receive a download link to your high resolution digital files.
